Maui Keiki (Kids) Fire Relief Fund
Donation protected
PLEASE use this new Go Fund Me site. We still need your donations! We have been fiscally sponsored by an local non-profit organization so we are closing this Go Fund Me down and directing people to the new one! All funds are being processed the same and go to Lahaina children and their families. Your donations from the new site will be tax-deductible.
A core value at the Aloha Group Maui is Community Aloha. We embrace this mission now by focusing on the well-being and needs of our keiki, the children who are the future of our island. In the wake of the devastating wildfires, we recognize that many of our keiki and their families have lost everything and need ongoing support over the months ahead. More specifically, we would like to distribute funds every month to 100+ children and their families, through the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Our criteria for allocation is to address the most vulnerable keiki on our island. We want to provide peace of mind that they will not be forgotten, once the ash has settled, so that they may focus on their physical and emotional recovery and what they do best- just being kids! We are working with schools, counselors and people we know to identify those children and families most in need.
As always, we'll maintain open and transparent communication with our valued supporters. We have established a dedicated Facebook Page where we can share updates, stories of impact, and the outcomes of our collective efforts.
As friends ask us where to donate, we saw many fundraising efforts by groups we could not verify. Many of you have gotten to know, like, and trust us through business transactions and we hope you extend that positive regard to this effort. The money raised here will be distributed over the next nine months to as many of our keiki as possible.
