SSSSHHHHHH!!! We are SECRETLY helping raise funds so Janvier can go home to see his family at Christmas. He hasn't been to Rwanda in over three years, and his big brother Bienvenu is getting married on December 13. Janvier really wants to go home for that big day!
We want to raise the money secretly and surprise Janvier so we are NOT using Facebook or Twitter...only email.
Janvier graduated from Oklahoma Christian in April of 2012 and is now studying for his Masters of Divinity. When he is done in three years, he plans to return to Rwanda to plant a church.
How awesome would it be if Janvier's friends in America join together to ensure he gets to go home this Christmas?
Big gifts, little gifts...they all go toward the end result, so give any amount you are comfortable with. The site is secure. Plane tickets cost about $2500. Our goal is $2750 to cover the gofundme fee. Any extra will be given to Janvier to cover other travel expenses.
Once we have the funds (and we can do this pretty quickly, don't you think?), Laurie and Alan Spies will have everyone over for a surprise party to present him with his ticket home. More info on that later!
We have included only a few select people to participate so we can keep this quiet. You are welcome to share the link with others who might be able to give, but please ensure they help keep our secret....and no touching that "share on Facebook" button or he will find out.
