Almonte House Fire

Hi Almonte, the friendly town -
As you may have heard, on May 20th, 2020 a house fire broke out on Malcom Street in Almonte, Ontario early in the evening. I was reluctant to find out which homes were on fire, as I remembered that my best friend & her friend (Kasandra Kealey & Avori Purdy) had just started renting their first home there. Sadly, to my surprise, their entire home had be engulfed in flames within minutes. Leaving absolutely none of the girls belongings behind. They left with only the clothes on their back, but we're thankful everyone is safe.
If you've had the pleasure of meeting Kasandra or Avori around Almonte - Kasandra might have been your waitress at Heirloom, or Avori might have served you your coffee at North Market - you know how infectious these girls positive attitudes are. You know how strong of work ethic they have. And you know that their smiles and laugh will brighten up even the most dullest of rooms.
Both girls have worked multiple part time jobs over the years within the community to finally start their independent, adult lives - and that was all taken away within minutes.
As we all may be struggling right now due to Covid-19, any donation matters and will be appreciated. All proceeds from this GoFundMe will be going directly to Kasandra and Avori to help them rebuild their lives during this heartbreaking time.
