My name is Alma! I’ve been through more in my young life than most people go through in a lifetime…and my journey continues.

During her pregnancy, my mom Kayla learned that I was diagnosed with Spina Bifida. I have a birth defect in which my spinal cord didn’t develop properly. At 25 weeks I underwent fetal surgery and then again when I was 8 weeks old and again at 12 weeks old.

This journey has been tough for my family too. They just want me to have the best life possible and together we are working toward miracles. As a medically complex kid, life isn’t easy and I miss out on a lot.

Like many little girls, I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan. Her music comforts my medical anxiety and provides glimmers of peace during tough times. I’m a little Taylor Swift super fan and I want more than anything to be a normal girl for a night and see Taylor work her magic and allow her music to lift me up.

One of my favorite lines from Taylor is “You can’t spell awesome without ME”. Please help me make my dream a reality.
