Alma’s acid burn recovery
Donation protected
My name is Elizabeth and I would be very grateful if you could help my cousin, Alma.
Alma was the victim of an acid attack at her home last year when she was 17. The attacker threw the acid in her face as she returned home from work with her mom and eight-year-old brother.
The brutal attack burned the skin from Alma’s face and upper body and left her in great pain and needing multiple skin grafts. The acid has left her blind in her right eye.
Since she turned 18, Medicaid no longer covers the vital treatments that Alma needs to improve her eye and skin damage. She is a wonderful young woman who has been incredibly brave in coping with what she has suffered. She hopes to become a nurse to help others after being inspired by the nurses who took such great care of her at Parkland Hospital.
Alma and our family would be grateful for any help in raising money for her medical care.
On behalf of Alma and our family, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
