Hi, my name is Judy McManamon and I have created this site to raise money to assist with the funeral and burial expenses for my dear friend, Almaria Reyes. Almaria passed away on the morning of Christmas Eve of liver cancer. In the last several years she waged battles with breast cancer, ovarian cancer and ultimately liver cancer each of these separate cancers originating at those sites. Almaria had no life insurance and the family is still dealing with the burial expenses of their brother, Anthony Reyes, who passed away this Fall from esophageal cancer. Almaria was a dear soul, who was kind to a fault and resided at Angel House in Hyannis, where we first met, in 1996-1997 with her baby boy, Ethan. Ethan is now in his late 20’s and also lost his father about 5 years ago. The loss of his mother is a devastating blow to the family, but especially to Ethan. Anyone who was affiliated with Housing Assistance Corp. in the early 2000s will surely remember Almaria’s cheerful disposition.
