ALM Fundraiser for Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation

This week, the Kappa Chapter of Alpha Lambda Mu, the first Muslim interest fraternity in the nation, is partnering to raise money on behalf of the Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation. All proceeds raised will be given to TMWF. As Muslim men, it is our duty to honor and protect our sisters in Islam, and TMWF provides many services to those who need them the most. It is an unfortunate truth that domestic abuse and violence are existing problems in the Muslim community, and we must do all we can to aid its victims. By donating to TMWF, we can ensure the continued aid and protection of victims of domestic violence.

TMWF is a Culturally-Sensitive and Trauma-Informed Agency providing holistic and evidence-based programs and services to the needs of socially and ethnically diverse communities. Their programs are designed to promote peace in the home and the community through a comprehensive strategy of prevention and intervention. No community is immune to abuse and want to ensure the well being of everyone in our community. While they have a unique understanding of the needs of Muslim families, they are open to all.
