Building Buttercream dreams

I have been baking since the ripe old age of about 10. It all started when I was about 6 years old. I watched my grandmother make a pound cake from scratch. I was both amazed and befuddled at the transformation of those raw ingredients into that delicious cake...I fell in love immediately. I went to culinary school at Sullivan University years later and began my business in 1996 when we were pregnant with our 2nd child. At 1st, The Pastry Factory was just a dream, only used when friends or family needed a cake or desserts for something special. Over the years it has become the epitome of rare ingredient parings. And now The Pastry Factory specializes in delicious gourmet desserts & pastries for sophisticated palates. I create unique flavor combinations that are carefully constructed to tantalize your taste buds and to ensure an enchanting experience.  I take pride in making everything from scratch to ensure the best taste and quality and I use only the finest ingredients available and support local Ohio grown products.

     Once I lost my job in March of 2020 due to covid-19. I was left with the same question as many Americans…what do I do now? I focused all my time and attention on the 2020 summer farmers market season. After a remarkably successful summer we were asked to apply for a permanent position inside the North Market downtown Columbus. Our business proposal was accepted and now after 4 kids, a divorce, and a pandemic I am finally building my own bakery. Over the years I have been able to fine tune my baking and pastry skills
