Over the past year and a half, I’ve faced a series of injuries that have completely changed my life. It started when I was assaulted at work, which left me with two broken wrists—my right wrist even required surgery. Just as I was starting to heal, I was in an accident on my electric scooter and broke my left foot, four ribs, and my left shoulder in two places. After months of recovery, I was in another scooter accident and crushed the tibia and fibula in my right leg, which took two major surgeries to repair. These injuries have made it impossible for me to work, and the bills have been piling up faster than I can manage.
Now, on top of everything, my landlord was laid off and has to sell my house, so I need to move as well. This means I’m facing not only my usual living expenses, but also the costs of moving and securing a new place to live.
I’m reaching out now because I need help covering my living expenses, including rent, utilities, student loans, food, credit card bills, and now moving costs like first and last months’ rent. If anyone is able to help with the move itself, I’d be so grateful. Every bit of support will help me keep a roof over my head and take care of the basics while I focus on healing and getting back on my feet.
I can’t thank my friends and family enough for the support I’ve already received—it truly means the world to me. I’m determined to make 2026 a much better year (I might even start wearing bubble wrap for clothing, just in case!). Through all of this, I’m proud to say that my sobriety is going strong, despite the obstacles. Thank you for reading my story and for any help you can offer.
