Allowing Olivia to be "FREE"

Story

Olivia has Muscular Dystrophy. Lisa, her mother is a single mom of 3 and works her butt off to support her kids. Let's help Lisa give Livi this wheelchair so Livi can feel free whenver she wants. This is what inspired me to start this. This is what Lisa wrote today:I took Olivia this morning to Mary free bed to have her chair worked on and for a re evaluation for her new power chair since she had back surgery. These power chairs take months and months to get bc they are all custom made specifically for her. Olivia needs a power chair. Insurance pays for one chair. You have to pick power or manual. So obviously if a child needs power that's what you get. If something goes wrong with the chair you don't have anything else! It is like her legs. Her independence. So as they were working on her chair they gave me a manual chair to push her in. SHE FELL IN LOVE W tHIS CHAIR! And I couldn't believe what I was seeing. She was moving the wheels as best as she could with her hands! Yes. It was slow. Very slow. But it was happening. She didn't want to get out of the chair! My goal.... Olivia will have this chair by the time school starts. "I feel free". That's all I needed to hear. It was emotional for me.
