Jeff Holt, owner of Hambones, left this world too early at 46. A sculptor, artist and all around great man, Jeff’s created a safe space at Hambones for everyone to express themselves through their art, comedy and music. Jeff made Hambones into a Lawrenceville cultural spot where he created a home for new, young artists as they found their muse. His tireless efforts supported the Open Stage, Open Mic, Acoustic Brunch, Socially Awkward Burlesque Shows, Pittsburgh Musicians and Comedians, Trivia nights and many more. He is remembered for his kindheartedness, quirky sense of humor and ability to always see and acknowledge the beauty in everyone he met. Jeff always gave of himself to put the needs of others first; a trait he learned from his baptismal church Bethany Lutheran Church who put on free Friday fish fries and annual Thanksgiving dinners for those in need.
Hambones, Pittsburgh’s cultural society and all of us are suffering from the loss of Jeff. Please consider donating to keep Jeff’s dream alive and maintain a safe space for all artists to perform. All funds will go towards supporting the two aspects of Jeff’s life that embody Jeff’s spirit of giving of yourself for the betterment of others; Hambones and Bethany Lutheran Church.
