Hi! My name is Emi and I've created this GoFund me for my mom, Allison. As many of you know she moved to New Orleans earlier this year and has made a home in the Bywater community. She and her three dogs and cat evacuated New Orleans last Saturday (8/28) before Hurricane Ida hit and have been on the road since.

As many of our California friends know, evacuating your home is terrifying and costly. New Orleans is currently without power with some estimates at 3-4 weeks until regained power for the city. With the unbearable heat of summer it's quite impossible for her to stay at home with her animals without AC . Without knowing when she can go back home and when she can start working again she is in need of a little help from her family, friends and community.

My mom has the biggest heart and cares so much for her community. Back home in California she worked tirelessly doing all she could for fire evacuees, donating her time and energy rescuing animals and making sure she was doing all she could to help her friends.

If you have the means and would like to help her our during this time of uncertainty it would mean so much to her. Anything helps and will go directly to housing/food/bills until New Orleans opens back up and she can get back home.
