Hello! Thank you for checking out my GoFundMe page!
My name is Allison Holloway, and I am currently pursuing a vocal performance degree at Truman State University. Throughout my time at Truman State, I have won the Gold Medal Concerto Competition, been named a Presser Scholar, and have been the finalist or won several international and domestic competitions. This summer, I have the opportunity to further my music education by studying in Prague and Italy for most of June and July.
In Prague, I will be participating in the Prague Summer Nights Young Artist Music Festival, where I have the incredible opportunity to sing the role of Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro at the historic Estates Theater. (For all you opera/music lovers, this is the theater where Mozart's Don Giovanni first premiered!)
Following this amazing performance experience, I will be attending the Bologna International Opera Academy in Bologna, Italy. Through this program, I will have the chance to participate in daily master classes and one-on-one coaching with world-renowned singers, voice teachers, opera directors, and coaches.
These programs are simply not ones that I could pass up, as they offer phenomenal learning and networking opportunities that will be incredibly beneficial for me as I work toward a career in vocal performance. However, these programs come at a very high cost. While I have received some scholarships that will help, I need to raise a little more money to cover the cost of tuition and lodging for this summer abroad. Please consider helping me further my education! Thank you for taking the time to read about this amazing educational opportunity I will have this summer abroad and thank you for any donations that you are able to give.
If you are interested in viewing some of the audition tapes that helped me secure the role of Barbarina and a place in BIOA, here are the links (the fabulous collaborative pianist you see is Dr. Taylor Hutchinson who I work with at Truman State):
