Allison & Gabe's Car Accident
For any of you that don't know I'm Allison's sister Felicia. I'm sad to say that on September 10th Allison and Gabe were struck by an intoxicated driver on highway 509. They are thankfully alive but suffered pretty severe injury.
Allison has been released from the hospital with a broken shoulder, a brachial plexus injury, a concussion and damage to one of the arteries in her neck, she has had one surgery so far and will need several more and has several medical appointments a day, most days of the week in Seattle and will for at least 6 months.
Gabe has been released from the hospital after a 3 week stay for a TBI (traumatic brain injury) and several broken ribs. He will have several medical appointments a week in Seattle for several months and will need help doing day to day tasks as he is still having a lot of memory trouble.
They also had their two beloved dogs Baxter and Radar in the vehicle. Baxter thankfully made it through with no physical injuries however Radar did not survive.
They will be facing travel expenses to doctors off island with no vehicle (as their vehicle was a total loss), legal fees as they seek justice for Radar and themselves, as well as day-to-day expenses as neither will be able to do any type of work for several months.
As many of you know even before the incident Allison and Gabe have been having struggles for quite some time and we're trying to turn this tragedy into a blessing. I am helping them create a new foundation based around their health and recovery but I cannot afford to do this alone.
Both our families are doing everything they can but we could really use some financial help. I've set this at 10k because I have never done a go fund me and wasn't sure where to start but anything helps immensely.
With love & gratitude,
Felicia, Gabe, Allison, The Saathoff's & The Timmen's
P.S. Folks can also send me donations other ways if they prefer (via Zelle, Venmo, CashApp, Facebook Pay or any other way) just shoot me a text or Facebook message and I will get you the appropriate information for that.
