Legal battle against Ashy Bines
My name is Allie and I started a food blog back in 2012 called Mealspiration . I found a passion for healthy food and fell in love with creating meals of my own.
My friends started asking for my recipes and that's when Mealspiration was born. I began to share my journey and creative healthy meals with friends and my blog grew and grew and was shared across social media.
It was a few months later when a colleague of mine said she saw my blog post (word for word and my images) used in Ashy Bines clean eating guidelines. I then realised there were at least 8 recipes copied and pasted into the ebook which sold for $70-$100 online. At the time I didn't think there was much I could do, even a few years later I still didn't think Ashy would ever admit to plagiarising. Until last year when she released this video:
There have been media outlets and websites contacting me to question how the recipes were taken and what has been done about it since Ashy admitted to plagiarism. To this day, I have not taken action as there are legal fees required to do so and I'm not in a position to afford such fees.
