Our dear friend Allie Magnotti, was diagnosed with triple positive invasive ductile breast cancer and Castleman disease on May 9th. Allie is ready to tackle this and is so incredibly grateful for your love and support, which will help her through the difficult months ahead.
Allie is the rock to her family. She is the primary caregiver and financial provider in her single income household and supports her high functioning Autistic son Alexander, who is currently a senior studying Engineering at UNC Charlotte, her son George who will be 16 soon, and her 82 year old mother-in-law, who suffers from advanced COPD and emphysema with oxygen dependency. Allie cooks for her family every day, maintains her home, does all the shopping, cares for the family pets, is very active in her son's school and sports activities, and has a full time (and very demanding) career. Anyone who knows Allie will tell you what an abundantly generous and caring person she is. A true heart of gold, who never deserved this diagnosis.
Allie's preliminary treatment plan will consist of at least 18 weeks of chemotherapy, followed by a double mastectomy, reconstruction and another round of chemo.
We are are swarming around Allie to ensure that all family needs are met when she goes out of commission during surgery & treatment, but our time and effort can only go so far. Allie is not the type of person to ask for hand outs, but the overwhelming nature of the medical expenses at her door leave no choice. We need your help urgently!
Your donation will go directly to Allie. All funds will be used to help pay Allie's upcoming medical expenses, which will have a tremendous impact on her ability to push through this and will help mitigate the affects the expense of her treatment has on her sons and mother-in-law.
