This is our daughter, Allie.
One week ago, she was laughing with friends and planning her future. Today, she lies in a hospital bed—unconscious, critically injured, and fighting for her life. Machines breathe for her. Her body is covered in tubes, monitors, and bandages.
We are sharing her story because she needs help, and we need hope.

It was a quiet Thursday night when our world changed forever. We received the kind of phone call every parent prays they never have to answer.
“This is Dr. Smith. Your daughter has been in a serious accident. You need to come now.”
The rest of his words became a blur. The list of injuries felt endless and impossible. Nothing could have prepared us for what we saw when we arrived at the hospital.
Our little girl—our bright, strong, beautiful Allie—lay completely still. Unconscious. Unresponsive. Tubes and wires surrounded her. Machines breathed for her. A chest tube protruded from her side. The steady beeping of monitors was the only sign she was still with us. No parent is ever truly ready to see their child like that.
Once we collected ourselves, the trauma team began the “head-to-toe” report. Severe traumatic brain injury with multiple brain bleeds. Fractured C1 and C2 vertebrae. A collapsed lung. Multiple broken ribs. A snapped humerus with an open fracture. And too many cuts, abrasions, and deep bruises to count.
After extensive scans, the doctors confirmed what no family ever wants to hear: Allie has a Diffuse Axonal Injury, one of the most devastating forms of traumatic brain injury. She remains in a coma. Her brain bleed is severe. On the Glasgow Coma Scale—where 3 is the lowest and most critical score—Allie is a 3.
We’ve had several conversations with her neurosurgeon, and even he is stunned. Her scans are catastrophic. By all medical expectations, she should not be responding at all. We were told that families facing scans like hers are typically making funeral arrangements.
And yet… Allie fights.
During hands-on exams, she squeezes my hand. She wiggles her toes when asked. These tiny movements feel like miracles, and they are the threads we cling to as we sit beside her day after day.
She is still very critical. Her blood pressure remains unstable and requires medication. She is fully dependent on life support. We have been gently prepared for the reality that if she wakes, she will face permanent neurological damage—but we don’t yet know what that future will look like.
What we do know is that she deserves every possible chance. And we are not giving up on her.
The funds raised will go directly toward Allie’s medical care, her long hospital stay, travel and lodging expenses for our family, and the extensive rehabilitation she will need in the months—and likely years—ahead. Any remaining funds will support her long-term and ongoing care as we navigate this unimaginable road.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, praying, sharing, and supporting our sweet girl. Your love, generosity, and compassion mean more than we can ever put into words.
