Allie Grace's Global Perspectives Trip

Hello everyone!!

My name is Allie Grace Kinard, and I am a student at Lee University. I am about to begin my senior year and will graduate in December of 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Christian Ministries. After graduation, I plan to attend graduate school, where I hope to attain my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, allowing me to counsel families.

A graduation requirement at Lee is for each student to go on a Global Perspectives trip so we can experience life in a different culture. The psychology program will be taking an 18-day trip to Germany in June of 2023 where we will study Cultural Psychology at the European Theological Seminary in the Black Forest. We will live on campus for two weeks and be fully immersed in the culture. Our group will also have the opportunity to travel to Austria and France on weekends.

I have chosen this trip because I know that my calling is to counsel families, and I understand how important it will be to understand different cultural mindsets outside my own. I have always dreamed of being a part of a study-abroad program; this is an incredible opportunity to make my dream come true while fulfilling my graduation requirement and traveling with my peers and one of my favorite professors.

The total cost of this trip, including airfare, food, class credit, etc., is $6,550. I am hoping to raise $4500 of that cost. Because I am a full-time student, it will be extremely difficult for me to reach this goal on my own. That’s where you come in! I’m asking you to invest in me and my future by partnering with me financially.

My first payment of $1000 is due by the last day of November, and the remaining balance is due by February 14, 2023.

My time as a student at Lee has been nothing short of a miracle! I am trusting and believing that this trip will be another part of my Lee story, where God has faithfully answered all my prayers! Thank you in advance for your prayers and support!
