I never thought I’d be in a position to write something like this, but I’m reaching out because our family dog Allie needs help.

Allie is our 8-year-old Morkie, and she means absolutely everything to us, and especially to my mom. Allie is her whole world and goes everywhere with her. Recently, Allie was suddenly unable to put weight on her back leg. After taking her to the vet, we were told she has a torn ligament in her knee (CCL), which is very painful and requires surgery to properly fix.

Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is extremely expensive. We recently had a large vet bill for my cat Oliver and now with Allie getting injured, the vet bill is far more than we can afford right now, and we are feeling completely overwhelmed trying to figure out how to help her while managing everything else.

Right now, she’s on pain medication and resting, but without surgery, there’s a risk of ongoing pain and long-term damage. We want to give her the best chance at a happy, comfortable life.

We were quoted between $5,000 and $5,500 for the surgery. If we don’t reach the full goal, the money will still go toward Allie’s care, like her medications, follow-up vet visits, rehabilitation, and possibly a more affordable surgical option or partial payment toward surgery. Nothing will go to waste, it will all be used for her treatment.
