We are Allie's family and we are asking you for
prayers & donations to her medical fund.
Allie needs your help,
she's fighting for her life & the life of her son, she's 30 weeks pregnant. She has severe Covid and is in ICU and on a ventilator. She and her OB planned for her to get Covid vaccine in her third trimester & she contracted the virus shortly before that apt.
***UPDATES BOTTOM OF PAGE***
Our first thought is to ask for prayers. Allie and her baby boy are stable but not out of the woods yet. We believe in the power of prayer.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for praying for them both.
Allie's husband Jason and her little girl Josie are holding down the family farm. Allie's dream of having a family and farm life has become a
reality through her determination, hard work and sacrifice. Take a look at the amazing life she & Jason have built together.
Everything she has created is going to be challenged by the mounting medical bills they face.
We can't be with her in ICU, we can't talk to her, we feel helpless right now, and we want to do something!
So our second thought was Allie is going to be overwhelmed when she gets these medical bills. She didn't want to go to the hospital because of the bill. So far she has been transported by 911 ambulance, stayed @ hospital in Olympia WA, put on ventilator, flown by helicopter to Seattle WA, and she is currently in ICU on a ventilator for 24 days so far. This all adds up quick and we really don't know how long she will need medical care.
Allie has generously given of her time to help, especially when it comes to animals. There are many stories of her giving and asking nothing in return. For example, Last year the wild fires were causing evacuations and Allie publicly posted that she would take animals to her farm for shelter. She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) and in a moment she will grab her medical bag and go help anyone with their animal. She once stitched a horses eye!
Here is her last post before going to the hospital:

If you don't mind.. please pray for me to heal quickly so I can get home to my family. I was admitted last night to the hospital because I can't breath, and my temp went up to 102.8. Worried with being pregnant I decided to take the uncomfortable ambulance ride in.
I'm on constant oxygen, have blood clots in my lungs, and they are waiting for another test to check for pneumonia. They said I will be here a couple days, couple weeks, or a month. They don't know. All I know is this is absolutely miserable and I just want to get home to my baby girl and Jason. Sorry if I haven't responded to anyone in messages. Now you know why. I will update here if I can. I really don't want to be here.
Allie
Please consider giving to Allie, any donation amount will help, she would never ask for herself but we are asking for her because of the potential for these medical bills to unravel the life that she has worked so hard to make reality.
She will be blown away when she wakes up from medical induced coma hears about how many people are praying for her! And receives your donations! It is going to inspire her to work hard to fully recover and get back to her family and her farm.
UPDATE: 24 Days ICU 24 Days ventilator Allie is now 30 weeks pregnant
9/1 Your prayers are SO appreciated! Your generosity is heart warming!
The second week in ICU on ventilator has been up & down, this is the way of covid. Allie has been fighting this like a warrior, she is so strong! Everyday she faces new challenges and even though she's heavily sedated her will to live & fight for life is inspiring. She gets exhausted and then she and baby boy go through a time of losing ground. Then just at the moment when Dr.'s are deciding if emergency cesarean will happen, Allie starts gaining ground again!!! This has happened 3 times in 2 weeks, Bless Her Heart!
Allie's family is SO grateful for your love, prayers & donations!
Sincerely,
Erin (Allie's Mom)
9/8 We are now in the third week in ICU & Dr.'s are staring a slow steady process of trying to get Allie off of the ventilator. Please pray she will have the strength and courage as well as understanding what the Dr.'s are asking her to do, she is still sedated so this time could be very confusing for her. As of yesterday she started breathing trials in preparation for removing the ventilator, this may take up to 2 weeks. Dr.'s are slowly bringing her out of heavy sedation. Baby boy likes this slow pace! He did not like the pace last week which had so many ups & downs. Slow and steady wins the race! You can do this Allie!
We are grateful for The Lords blessings that Allie is still fighting & baby is still with her. It is so painful that we can not be with her but all of your support feels like loving arms, we feel your presence & we know your prayers are supporting her.
We can't thank you enough!
Erin
9/10 GOOD NEWS! Allie had an emergency cesarean last night and all went well! Everyone was SO relieved that this terrifying emergency turned out so well for Allie & baby. Thank you for all your continuous prayers! She was 30 weeks pregnant. She is still on a ventilator & in ICU in stable condition. Now that Allie is no longer pregnant Dr.'s can treat her in every way possible without being limited by concerns for the baby. We pray she will be off that ventilator soon. It will be slow & steady, Allie is still sedated & does not understand what is happening. In this state she could be very confused. I ask the team to tell her often that she has a son, he's healthy, we love her, she's safe & they will help her to get home. It is SO difficult to not be with her. Jason was able to see his son but not his wife. It's heartbreaking. The Nurse shared that when she told Allie "You have delivered your son, he's healthy, your safe" tears flowed from Allie's eyes. Hearing this was emotionally touching for us.
Cooper is here! He's 15" long and weighs 3 pounds 12 oz! His due date was Nov. 14th! He will be in NICU for at least 6 weeks. Allie did an amazing thing for him, while she "fought covid for two" the first 3 weeks in ICU the Dr.'s gave her medicine to help develop his lungs! Amazing! Good job Mama! The medical staff are please that he is stable. They were surprised that he weighs so much, they call him 'Beefcake' ! LOL! Jason & his Mom were able to see Cooper through glass for less than a minute, but he is longing to see his wife.
I'm forever grateful for each and every prayer & all your loving support,
Erin
9/11 ALLIE IS OFF THE VENTILATOR !!!
She was on a ventilator for 24 days & now she is breathing on her own! Our prayers have been answered We are so grateful for your prayers, support & donations! We have been so blessed to have the team of Doctors & Nurses @ Swedish, to us they are Angels saving lives! Allie is beginning the road to recovery. She can't speak, swallow, smile or show any facial expression. She has no physical strength to lift her head, move an arm or do anything. She is now working with physical therapy to take back what covid stole from her. The challenge for Allie now is physical, emotional & phycological. She is still isolated, no one is able to see her, she is only able to have a short face-time with Jason. It must be heart breaking for her to be separated from her family. Hopefully Jason will be allowed to be with her soon!
All my love,
Erin
9/19 GREAT NEWS- ALLIE IS HOME !
Allie is so strong, so determined to get home, she impressed the Dr.'s & Nurses by being able to stand & take steps with a walker after only 7 days of being off the ventilator! Everyday she has worked hard to gain back her ability to swallow, talk, move an arm & a leg or lift her head. She came out of isolation on 9/14, after 28 days of separation Allie finally saw her husband Jason & he has been with her ever since. Together they were able to see their son Cooper, and touch him through the gloved incubator in the NICU. Jason took Allie home to the sweet reunion with 1 yr old daughter Josie, after 32 days separated, it was good medicine for both of them! Allie will continue doing rehabilitation at home to gain back all her abilities & she'll be ready for when Cooper comes home.
BABY COOPER- Born on 9/9 - In NICU for 11 days so far.
Cooper had a hole in his lung & needed a chest tube, breathing support & an ECMO machine. After 1 week his lung healed! His chest tube was removed & he was taken off the ECMO machine. WOW Cooper, your like your Mama! They say he will be in NICU another 5 weeks.
We can hardly wait to see this family together at home on the farm!
These medical bills are mounting & will continue for another month! It would be so appreciated if you all could post and share Allie's story. We thank you for your prayers & donations. We have no doubt that the prayers have been heard & answered in so many ways!
Thank you all!
Erin
ALLIE & COOPER ARE SURVIVORS OF DELTA CORONAVIRUS ! Thanks for your prayers !
1O/17/2021 UPDATE Allie 4 weeks home – Cooper 5 weeks in NICU
Hello everyone! Life on the farm is non-stop, with Allie's recovery & 1 year old Josie climbing everything! Posting weekly updates has not been possible. Almost a month has passed with Allie home & Cooper still in NICU.
Message from Allie:
We are expecting Cooper to come home around the time he would have been full term @ 40 weeks, that’s in 4 more weeks. So we are getting closer…just seems so far away still. I inquired about him having more visitors but they are only allowing me & Jason. We signed him up for the ‘cuddles program’ which is a group of nurses who work @ the hospital who volunteer their time to cuddle babies. Cooper now has a little swing that they put him in so that he isn’t just lying in the crib. He just started to take a bottle & is up to 25 ml which is almost 1 oz! He is being treated to encourage his body to produce red blood cells. Because he is so anemic his lungs are working extra hard to pump the oxygen through his body. He is currently on a vapotherm to force more oxygen into his lungs. His numbers are improving on the vapotherm so hopefully this means the treatment is working.
I’m doing okay. I have 3 weeks left before I am in the clear from the c section surgery, then I can really start working on getting muscle strength back for the day to day things. The wounds on my arm from the restraints & on my back from the baby monitor belt are still healing & needing daily bandage changes. I have several bald spots on my head & my scalp HURTS to the touch, even laying my head on my pillow. My left pointer finger is still numb. The skin blisters that were all over me have now mostly healed…all weird things covid related. I did a crouch down to clean up a Josie mess yesterday & I got stuck on the floor because my legs aren’t strong enough yet to push myself back up. But I’m walking okay. Just slow steps. I got my second covid vaccine shot so in 2 weeks I will be able to have more friends visit. That might help my spirits.
Honestly I feel like I am worse mentally than physically. The delirium I had in the hospital still haunts me. Leaving Cooper at the hospital each time we have seen him just gets harder. Waking up with no baby & him not being here, not being able to be with him 24/7 has been really hard for me. I’ve been able to go see him on Saturdays with Jason & we spend about 3-4 hours there. I just hate leaving him.
We are so grateful for all the healing prayers & donations to help us get through this challenging time. We just can’t thank you enough.
All my love,
Allie
12/1/2020 COOPER CAME HOME for Thanksgiving!
On November 4th Cooper came home and the family was finally all together at last! He was born on September 9th, he was in NICU for 2 months. Thanksgiving Day was celebrated with family all together and with grateful hearts for the lives of Allie and Cooper. Grateful for God's healing, grateful for Doctors, Nurses & staff and grateful for all of your prayers & support!
Please consider sharing this gofundme page with everyone. Allie & Jason have received the bills for the first 1&1/2 days at the Hospital in Olympia, totaling $48,000!
The family deductible is $28,000 and we have no idea yet of costs for out of network providers etc.
It is unimaginable to think what the total will be for Allie in ICU for a month on a ventilator & Cooper in NICU for 2 months!
Allie says:
"Cooper LOVES to be snuggled. He has slept through the nights mostly. Josie is really learning how to be a helpful big sister. She just needs to learn not to keep taking his binky out and we're good" lol
"I'm doing pretty good. So glad Cooper is home and we're all together. I still have weak days, but they are becoming few & farther between. I've been getting outside and doing as much as I can. I finally got to brush all my horses the other day so that was nice. We are so grateful for your help, thank you!"
Big Sister Josie with Cooper at home!
Please consider giving to Allie, any donation amount will help, she would never ask for herself but we are asking for her because of the potential for these medical bills to unravel the life that she & Jason have worked so hard to make reality.
We will try our best to post updates on Allie & Cooper, we pray she will make swift progress! Knowing Allie she will fight like no other to get back to her dream life!
Humbly we thank you for helping,
Allie's family
