#AllForAle: Help Ale beat Leukemia

On February 4th, 2022, our cousin Alejandra Gongora Rivera (25 years old) was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia M2. This diagnosis came after doctors performed a series of tests due to excessive bruising all over her body. She is currently hospitalized at the Los Olivos Clinic in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Ale began aggressive chemotherapy treatments on February 8th, which have started to take a toll on her body. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have medical insurance or sufficient means to cover the cost of chemo and the subsequent bone marrow transplant.

Our family is raising funds to assist in her medical care as she begins her journey to beat this illness. We are asking for your support to assist Ale in her fight. She is still at the beginning of her battle with cancer and we want her to focus her energy on recovery!

Ale graduated college last year as an Industrial Engineer and has spent the last seven months working at a Feed Mill and Chicken Farm. She loves having this opportunity to work so closely with a variety of animals. Ale has so much love to give; she rescued two wonderful dogs three years ago, Avena and Quacker.

Things are tough right now, but together, we can all help Ale get through this and continue to brighten up the world.

A note from Ale

Hola, mi nombre es Alejandra Gongora Rivera (Ale), tengo 25 años y desafortunadamente me diagnosticaron Leucemia Mieloide Aguda M2 después de realizarme unos exámenes el 4 de febrero del 2022 a causa de moretones en mi cuerpo y estoy hospitalizada en la Clínica Los Olivos en Cochabamba, Bolivia (Sudamérica). A partir de ese momento fue cuando se caía uno de los pilares que soportan nuestra vidas, aquellos que se levantaron por 25 años de logros y a veces derrotas.

Lamentablemente no tengo Seguro Médico y no cuento con los medios suficientes para solventar el costo que significa todo este tratamiento y posterior trasplante de médula ósea. No podré hacerlo sola, necesito de tí para poder sobrevivir, completar los gastos y vencer esta batalla que he decidido enfrentar. El tratamiento es mucho más de lo que yo pueda producir económicamente trabajando sin cesar. El 8 de febrero inicié mi primera fase de quimioterapia; la cual fue bastante agresiva. Cada aporte cuenta, me da ánimo para seguir adelante; tengo mucha fe, energía, vitalidad y proyectos por continuar en mi futuro.

Un poco de mí, soy ingeniera industrial, me gradué el año pasado y recién hace siete meses empecé mi vida laboral. Trabajo en una planta de alimentos y granja de pollos; además y en beneficio para quienes y con quien más que gusta compartir; animalitos.

Quizás no te conozca, pero mi compromiso si decides ayudarme a vencer ésto, será también
