Alleyway Gates - Beaumont drive

PLEASE NOTE: Price of gates has changed due to Residents demanding bigger posts (6inc now) plus wheels on the gate and concreate for the wheels to run on.   Plus labour and skip to dispose of hardcore.  Please feel free to ring the builder direct if you have any questions.  Apex builders :- Mobile:07903 228580.  Next to 190 Beaumont Drive the gate is 19ft long.  Has to be metal frame hence the price has gone up yet again.   Some have requested all 3 frames should be metal hence we have requested a price for this too.  

My name is Shera Singh and I live on Beaumont Drive. I am acting on behalf of the local community with the aim of installing security gates in the alleyway backing properties in Beaumont Drive. I have been provided with some advice of the steps to take by Gravesham Borough Council and I am prepared to carry out the work required to co-ordinate the installation of the gates on behalf of residents.

Many residents feel that the gating of the alleyway will help to reduce some of the problems that we have been experiencing for some time, particularly in respect of fly-tipping and the irresponsible disposal of rubbish in the alleyways. This has an impact on the appearance of the area and has caused some residents concern that it will just attract other problems too. As residents, we will retain full use of the alleyway so gating will not affect our access or the access of emergency services should they need it. It will, however, mean that others will not be permitted to use the alleyway.

As the alleyway is privately owned by residents, we will need to cover the costs for the gates and their installation and will be responsible for their maintenance in future.

Original Cost per gate is £810 to start with we plan on installing 3 gates. Total cost is £810 X 3 = £2430.
New Cost per gate is £935 to start with we plan on installing 3 gates. Total cost is £935 X 3 = £2800.  

Location of gates will be next to 264 Beaumont Drive, 224 Beaumont drive and 190 Beaumont drive.
