PLEASE HELP ALLEY CATS WITH URGENT VETS BILLS

Donation protected
Alley Cats and Kittens is a volunteer run group and we are at breaking point. The crisis in rescue is like never before with an unprecedented number of cats and kittens needing urgent help.
Apart from being soul destroying for our volunteers this is financially unsustainable.
These are just some of the cats in our care right now needing costly daily medical intervention.

BAGGY:
Baggy was found having had a carrier bag zip tied around her neck. The wound was so deep she spent over a week as an inpatient at our vet. Severely infected and extremely painful Baggy is still on daily dressing changes and has a way to go before we can consider rehoming her! She also had a cat collar that her leg got stuck around adding to her horrific injuries! Baggy is traumatised but with our help we hope to bring her through this ordeal.

MR MAGOO
Mr Magoo was trapped as a stray kitten with a terrible eye infection caused by cat flu. Sadly at only 10 weeks old Mr Magoo has had to have his eye removed. We now face a battle to save his left eye also and requires weekly vet visits along with medicated eye drops 4 times a day! Understandably , he is having lots of TLC from our fosterer.

CARLOS AND MAKETA
Carlos and Maketa were found hiding in a factory. Very poorly they are on antibiotics, steroids and pain relief for an unknown infection. Tragically this proved to much for little Carlos and he lost his fight.

4 x day old kittens were brought to us from a farm having been found cold and starving in a bucket. They were placed in our incubator immediately to warm . Sadly two tiny souls did not make it. The other two are fighting to live atm.. Our incubators and nebulisers are all volunteer funded and are in almost constant use. The specialist milk, weaning mousse, stomach tubes etc all adds to our spiraling expenses.

In addition to the specific cases we have above we have many other cats and kittens in our care. Even the cost of feeding, flea and worm treatments for all these cats is crippling,

The main focus of our work is still neutering stray and feral cats. We have to balance this against ongoing immediate veterinary costs. Our equipment for trapping takes a battering with all the colonies we help... to replace a trap and hospitalisation crate is £210.

We could go on...it is endless but this is just a snippet of rescue life now

We are hoping to raise funds to allow us to continue our vital work and help other cats and kittens in need. Our time and love we give freely and willingly … we need your help to continue financially?

Our target of £5000 would help tremendously and allow us to keep going ..

The bill for Baggy alone is over £1400.

Incubators and nebuliers have cost supporters £1500
Mr Magoo’s eye enucleation cost almost £500.

We have two of our cats have ongoing sample testing at a cost of £180 each...just for the tests.

This is just a tiny example of what we do on a daily basis..365 days a year.. please help?
