Update:On Thursday May 8th I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer which as now spread to my liver and lymph nodes. Not the diagnosis that I was expecting to say the least. On May 15th I will be starting an aggressive form of chemotherapy; not to get rid of the cancer but to try and slow it down from spreading. I’m in denial but I’m not. I’m just plain terrified. I didn’t look or feel sick a month ago when I first went to my doctor with what was a very small issue. As of now, I’ve lost over 40 pounds and have no strength to even do the smallest tasks. I’m listening to my body and spending my days resting. My daughter has flown in from North Carolina to spend a week with me. That is the only positive thing in my life.

Hi, I’m Jennifer and I’ve lived in Milton for 49 years. On Easter Monday 2025 I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The news came as a complete shock and couldn’t come at a worse time. I’m in the process of being evicted from the room I currently rent. However on a positive note I was just accepted into Subsidized housing that I’d applied for 4 years ago. Sadly I’m unable to hold any type of employment as I am too sick to work.

Asking for help isn’t not something that I am used to but frankly I have no other option as I’m doing all of this on my own. I need help with 1st and last month rent for my new place or else they will be giving it to the next person on the list and then I’ll have to wait another 4 or more years. I will also need help with money for going back and forth to my constant doctors appointments.

I attend my first visit to the cancer centre at Oakville Hospital on May 8th and on May 12th I get a port put in to deliver the chemotherapy.

i am in dire need of help and frankly I’m feeling very helpless and losing hope.

Any and all money received will be spent towards the rental of my new place and rides to my appointments. I am terrified of not only having cancer but if not having an affordable place to live.

Thank for reading and I will be forever grateful for any little bit that you are able to give. ❤️
