I am Alexander and yes, that's me in the photo trying to figure out how 11 years on Edmonton, Alberta's social safety net that is supposed to prevent people winding up on the streets has left me homeless for the last 5 years and convicted of several crimes I did not even commit. Bewildering.

Needless to say this fundraiser is designed to do more than just get me off the streets, but will ensure I never return by making sure I have the rent paid for the next 12 months during which time I will be utilizing my safety net/disability income to design a web project my brother and I have had in mind for several years but have been left unable to find the time to complete from being wedged within the cracks of the economic system. With your generosity not only will you assist in getting myself off the streets and reunite me with my friends and more importantly, family, but provide me with an opportunity to create improved circumstance in my life that will ensure I never end up in this position a second time. The web project my brother has in mind projects a 300% minimum profit by the end of its first 30 days online - so you would also be potentially assisting us in breaking the shackles we've been stuck locked in due to decades on government income. Not bad!
