Hey guys, I normally wouldn’t do this or ask for help with this but I’m running out of options…. The cat above is named Cy, he was a stray kitten that I found in my backyard 2 years ago and the cat who has helped me through my grief of losing my cat Prince (the cat I had for 10 years) to kidney disease 2 years ago. He is my world and love, he’s so playful and sweet and loves getting pets or hanging out with his siblings. But now it seems like I’m going through a nightmare all over again… like Prince 3 years ago, Cy got a urinary blockage Sunday (08/10) afternoon where he was unable to pee.

Urinary Blockage in cats is where the urethra is blocked and cats are unable to urinate, leading to the bladder to become bigger, toxins build up, and can lead to life-threatening conditions such as kidney failure, bladder rupture, and electrolyte abnormalities that may affect the heart…

Having gone through his once before and knowing the signs, I rushed Cy to the Emergency vet where they confirmed the urinary blockage and were able to admit him. Everything was going well, no blood in urine, kidney levels where good, and all seemed well to where I could take him home Monday afternoon (08/11), all he needed to do was show that he could pee on his own…. Well he hasn’t and is showing signs of a blockage again leading to a longer stay at the hospital and a possibility of having to have surgery to make the urethra bigger…. Which would add to the growing tab.

Please…. I’m running out of options and need all the help I can get to make sure Cy comes back to me in good health, my heart cannot take losing another cat so soon. Anything helps, even if it’s just a dollar… and if you can’t pay, please share this around, please and thank you….
