Hi, my name is Stacey and I am a close friend of Cyndi and Abe.

This past Saturday, Jake Miner, brother to Abe Guenther and brother-in-law to Cyndi, was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident. He sustained multiple serious injuries, including a fractured face, broken leg and shattered ankle, broken ribs, a brain bleed, and a traumatic brain injury.  While we are incredibly grateful that Jake is still with us, the journey ahead will be long, uncertain, and filled with challenges.

Jake is currently in the hospital in Thunder Bay, where he remains under close medical care. At this time, he has not yet opened his eyes, and we continue to wait and hope for signs of improvement. Doctors anticipate a long hospital stay ahead. Once stable, Jake will need extensive rehabilitation to regain his strength and mobility, a journey that will be both physically and emotionally demanding.

To help ease the burden this tragedy has placed on Jake and his family, we’ve started this GoFundMe. The funds raised will go toward covering medical expenses, therapy, basic living costs, and the many unexpected needs that arise during a recovery of this magnitude.
