Alleviate education, food and housing insecurity
Donation protected

Karibu!

We are a non-profit daycare and kindergarten in the quaint town of Iringa, Mafinga in Tanzania, known as
THE BRIGHT DAYCARE & KINDERGARTEN! We opened our doors in 2021 with the aim of providing dependable education, housing, nutrition and a deeper sense of community for the children and teenagers of Iringa. The program works with volunteers, three teachers and matrone who also lives at the school and cooks for everyone, everyday. We provide free, quality education to benefit the less fortunate children and families in the area. The mission is to embolden children toward continuing their education, providing a space that fosters safety and stability, all whilst bridging the gap between food and housing insecurity.
Most, if not all of the tools used in our school are full fledged donations, as that is our main source of sustaining our school and continuously providing for the students and staff involved. Here at The Bright Start, we aim to uplift and continuously support those around us through quality education with love and respect, regardless of ones financial ability, which is why the funds gathered from donors are tremendously beneficial.
The donations will be used for building a real kitchen, purchasing basic need products (soap, toothbrushes, deodorant), tables and chairs for the classrooms, a computer for the young girls to practice on as well as miscellaneous items such as books, pens/pencils/markers/chalk/erasers/bags and sharpeners to name a few. Transportation to and from school for the children, clothing as the weather changes, menstrual items for the teenagers, sanitation products, gas for the vans, electricity charges, firewood, pay for the teachers, bedding/sheets/pillows/blankets are also funded through donations. In addition to education, we provide housing for a group of 8-12 teenage girls who live on the premise year round and travel to their school by foot while the kindergarten is in session. The teenagers, staff, students and volunteers all eat 3 meals a day at The Bright Start. The donations will actively provide a variety of ingredients and sustenance such as rice, beans, ugali, potatoes, non perishables, fresh fruits and vegetables and clean water - all which will remedy the present food insecurity and ensure every person is provided for and fed.
Please consider donating, any amount is greatly appreciated! All will be distributed to a wonderful mission, supporting people of all ages and ensuring continued quality education amongst the children and youth of Iringa, Mafinga, Tanzania! Asante!!
