Allen's Journey: Overcoming Cancer Together

Hello, my name is Roberta. I am coming to ask for help for my boyfriend.

He has been diagnosed with Cancer Sarcoma on his left leg, a collapsed lung, and now a hernia on his left side.

Since all that happened, he has not been able to work since June 2024. We are in a lot of debt, and we are going to lose our house and everything we have. We did a bankruptcy, but with no income coming in, we can no longer pay our bills. We literally will be on the streets. I'm 60 and disabled. I try to find something to do, but unfortunately, at my age with disability, it is very hard to find a part-time job that will not pay more than $1,500 a month because that's what Social Security allows me to receive. Allen worked his whole life, and emotionally, his heart is broken. We are trying to sell everything we can, but it will never be enough to cover everything. Only gas to drive every day to his radiation for 6 weeks will be a miracle if we can pull off, and worse, if it doesn't work, he will lose his left leg, and it will be another journey that we can't even imagine. Before this all started, he already had many health issues, and with all these complications, everything changed.

This is the second time he has had cancer. He was born with retinoblastoma and lost his right eye, and as a result, he is partly deaf. Since he was a baby, he has had so many surgeries, and now this will be the second time. I hope the doctors can save his leg.
