For those of you who don’t know, Allen was diagnosed with Covid on August 30th. He spent 2 weeks at home with a high fever that ranged between 102-103 with little appetite and trouble sleeping. His fever finally broke on the 10th of September and he was looking forward to getting better and returning to work. However, he went to the walk-in clinic on September 15th for breathing issues. Upon seeing the doctor at the walk-in, they sent him directly to the ER for low oxygen rate. Once in the ER, he was admitted right away. They did a cat scan of his chest and found he had 3 blood clots in his right lung, plus pneumonia. They also did an ultrasound of his legs where they found another blood clot in his right leg. He has been in the critical care unit since Wednesday the 15th on high-flow oxygen. On September 20th he was removed from the high-flow and put in 5L of regular oxygen. If things keep progressing as they are he will be able to return home next week, but will not be able to return to work for at least several more weeks. On top of these issues he was diagnosed with chronic Lyme Disease in 2014, which only adds to recovery and complications.
I started this Go Fund Me to help with the expenses that have incurred due to his hospital visits and stays as well as lost wages for missing work and to also help his wife to make things easier during this time as they have two small kids. Everyone who knows Allen knows he is a stand-up guy who would do anything for his family, friends, and co-workers. Let’s help him and his family out in this time
