Update and thank you from Allen:
We never really know the journey God has set before us, that is where our faith comes in. These past 6 weeks have not been an easy journey but I can say with 100 % assurity my God is faithful!
When I arrived home from my 2nd hospitalization my sweet wife Dana said I need to read you something. Your nephew Michael has started something and you need to hear his heart. His words overwhelmed me and I was so grateful to hear what he had expressed. He is an incredible young man who was just gifted a beautiful baby girl from God just days before, Yet in this time he turned to express his love for me, Dana and Hailey and we are forever grateful .
For all of you whom have given sacrificially there are not just enough words to express our gratitude for your generosity during these uncertain times. I am now on a slow road to recovery.
I saw the Dr and the Pulmonologist today, both agree I am progressing. The Drs continue to monitor closely.
We will go on Monday for labs and a chest X-ray to mark the improvement. I remain on oxygen round the clock, but I can begin to decrease breathing treatments. They would like me to try to start walking the culdesac by gradually adding distance from our driveway one house at a time, if my breathing and oxygen saturation hold strong.
I am immunosuppressed and my lungs can not take another illness if I were exposed to a respiratory sickness. So for now we are asked to remain in and away from others. But we are encouraged to finally be moving in the right direction, thanks be to God for answering your prayers of healing for me. Hello family and friends,
If you know my uncle, Allen O'Neal, you most likely can’t help but love him. Whether you’ve known him for years or for just a short time, I’m sure he’s made you smile more times than you can count. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that Allen's larger than life personality has impacted our lives for the better in one way or another. Allen is a Godly man and would do anything for anybody. Now it’s time for us all to send some positivity back his way.
As most of you know Allen was diagnosed with Covid at the end of December and has been struggling with the affects since then. He's been in and out of the hospital and not able to work. His sweet family, Dana and Hailey, have been doing all they can to stay positive and devoting their time and energy to get Allen better.
The O'Neal's will be responsible for hospital bills, rehabilitation bills and more. We all want to help make sure he receives the very best of care and has every possible resource available to him to help with his recovery. The best way that we can do that right now is to help alleviate the financial stress this has put on him and his sweet family.
Thank you for all your support and prayers,
