On November 15th, a tumor about the size of a golf ball was found on the right side of my dad Al Keene’s brain.
On Saturday November 18th he had surgery to remove the tumor.
If you know my dad, you know he's the best. He's an absolute stand up human being.
We have many fun nicknames for dad- Big Sexy, Big Hoppa, and Al Keene the Dancin’ Machine to name a few- but the fact is he never met someone who didn't quickly become a friend. The man can build a relationship with someone out of thin air. One conversation with dad and you walk away feeling like he genuinely wants to get to know you, and that's because he does. He treats every person like they are the only person in the room.
Dad was moved to in-patient rehabilitation on November 28th to continue is recovery before moving back to home and embarking on cancer treatments.
While he is recovering and my parents are navigating treatment and rehab, the last thing I want them to worry about is a huge medical bill and the costs of rehab hanging over their heads.
If you have the means I hope you can help out in covering some of the costs of co-pays and rehabilitation, and whatever else they might need on his road to recovery.
We thank everyone who has sent positive messages of support, has offered up their prayers, and has stopped by to see pops at the hospital.
Thank You
