Allen J. Harper, Jr's Medical Fund

Saturday, April 1, 2017 seemed to be the perfect day for an off-duty police officer to ride his motorcycle. However that would be the day that changed the life of our dear and beloved friend, Allen J. Harper, Jr. Allen is a loving husband, devoted father of 4, caring grandfather, good son, supportive brother, beloved friend to many, has been an outstanding Jackson Police Dept officer of over 20 years and amazing citizen of the City of Jackson community who has been severely injured as a result of being hit by a speeding car that failed to yield the right of way while riding his motorcycle. JPD Corporal Allen J. Harper, Jr. is loved by so many. His dedication to the citizens of Jackson, MS has been displayed numerous times on and off duty. In September of 2015, Allen made a quick decision and literally ran to save a man who was attempting to jump to his death from a bridge.  Although, the City of Jackson viewed this as a heroic act, Allen said he was just doing his job.

He is funny, hardworking, dedicated, trustworthy, loyal, and has a strong presence throughout the downtown Jackson. This devastating accident has shaken the entire city. Corporal Harper has been protecting and serving us, the citizens of the City of Jackson so now is our time to serve and support him and his family. We want to show everyone just how special Allen is us and the City of Jackson. As we ask for your prayers and love forAllen and his family, we would also like to ask for a donation of any amount as all donations greatly appreciated.
All proceeds will go directly to Allen's medical and final expenses and assist in his long road to recovery. Thank you so much in advance. http://wjtv.com/2017/04/01/off-duty-jpd-officer-injured-in-crash/
