Allen Edwards Fund--Stroke Recovery
Many of you know the legend of Allen Edwards--All-American, Hall of Fame player and long-time assistant coach for the Furman Paladins.
What some may not know is that Allen suffered a debilitating stroke in 2013. He is now in an assisted living facility and will need care for the remainder of his life. While he does receive disability assistance, it is FAR short of what he requires for daily care, not to mention long-term medical needs.
The Furman Football Players' Association (FFPA) has stepped up in a powerful way to support Allen. Once again, we are in need of funds to maintain Allen's care. We currently have about less than six months of funding before we are out of options.
Our goal is to raise at least $300,000 or more to sustain Allen for the next five years at his current level of care. This would also keep the fundraising requests to a minimum. If you have ANYTHING that can contribute to this cause, please give what you can to lift up our brother, classmate, teammate, and friend in this time of need!
