Allegras Cancer Journey

Hi my name is Amanda and I am fundraising for my 18 month old niece Allegra (also known as Ally) and her parents Samantha & Brandon.

Allegra was diagnosed in September 2022 with Nephroblastoma also known as a Wilms Tumour on her left kidney. Due to the severity and stage she required an immediate surgery to remove her kidney. Also known as a nephrectomy. Unfortunately surgery was more complex then they initially thought it would be.

A central line was put in and she started chemo immediately on 23rd September 2022. Chemo is currently weekly with 3 different types, and she has also undergone radiation treatment.

Allegra is a fighter and has been so brave throughout all the medical treatments and hospital admissions.

Her spirit is that of any other little girl, super bubbly, and her smile and personality lights up the room.

Allegra’s parents have been privately dealing with this news of their daughter, and have had close friends and family rally behind them. Samantha is currently on leave without pay from her job as a registered nurse so that she can support Allegra through her treatment, and Brandon is working as much as he can to try and cover all of life’s daily expenses and medical costs.

Unfortunately they are now at a stage where they need further support to allow them some breathing space, and enable them to seek medical interventions required to save Allegra’s life.
