Allee Mansion Preservation Project

You can make a difference by donating today to the Newell Historical Society.

The 130 year old Jesse James Allee Mansion south of Newell is showing its age.

Several areas of the exterior wood require attention and the entire structure needs to be repainted, something that last happened in 1999.

Scheduled for the summer of 2021, the estimated cost of the project is $64,000. $30,000 in matching funds is in place. Grant applications are in the works and other fundraising efforts are being planned but you can help right now!

The Newell Historical Society is dedicated to sharing Newell's past with our community, students and visitors and uses the Allee Mansion to showcase life in an earlier time with tours, demonstrations and hands-on activities.

We need your support for the Mansion to continue to house the Newell community's history and heritage. Please consider a donation so our Victorian jewel will be as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside.
