Allan Dyer's Healing Journey

As many of you know, my Dad, Allan Dyer just got home from a 2 week stay in the hospital. He had a massive seizure on Nov 22nd which caused injuries to his tongue, a collapsed lung and 2 broken shoulders. His left shoulder was broken bad enough he had to have surgery to replace the joint. He also will need to take epilepsy drugs for the rest of his life. He is home now and recovering, however, he needs to have someone with him, at all times, for the next few months in case he has another, as well as assist him while his shoulders heal. This means my mom, Shelley, has had to take a leave of absence from work until sometime in the spring so she can be with him. Dad has already been off work for the last 2 years awaiting surgery on his back and his disability runs out soon. Mom is able to apply for compassionate care EI for now but we all know EI doesn't give ya much. Needless to say, this puts an added stress on the situation as bills will need to continue to be paid even though they are both currently unable to work. If you have the means to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world and would help ease some of the financial burden.
