All We Want for Christmas Is to Be Together in Armenia
Dear friends in Christ,
For the past five years, our family has been humbly blessed by the Lord to serve Armenian widows and orphans, as well as the precious indigenous people of Artsakh who have endured great suffering, including the heartbreaking ethnic cleansing in recent years. In obedience to God’s call, we began this ministry with our own modest savings, giving what little we had, and even selling possessions, to extend His love and compassion to those in need. By God’s amazing grace, we have been able to bring hope and practical help to many hurting hearts.
As the Scripture reminds us in James 1:27
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
Our humble efforts even caught the attention of President Trump during his campaign, who kindly commended our family for standing with the persecuted Christians of Artsakh. Through quiet advocacy in Washington, D.C., we prayerfully sought to promote stability and justice in the region.
We had planned to relocate our family to Armenia earlier this year, but the Lord led us to wait due to some uncertainties and important responsibilities here in the United States. Then, with the tragic passing of our dear brother in Christ, Charlie Kirk, I was called to take on additional duties with the organization he founded. But praise God, He has now graciously opened the door for us to blend these callings, allowing us to move to Armenia while continuing to honor our commitments at home.
It is our heartfelt prayer to establish a crisis pregnancy center in Yerevan, offering loving support, resources, and alternatives to women facing difficult choices, so that every precious life, fearfully and wonderfully made by God, might be welcomed and cherished.
As Psalm 139:13-14 so beautifully declares:
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
My dear children deeply love Armenia and miss it terribly. As a father, my heart aches at the thought of long separations while serving there for extended periods. Yet, with a family of eight, the cost of relocating everyone across the world is beyond what my modest salary or our ministry budget can cover. In humility, we turn to you, our faithful friends and partners who have walked with us in this calling, and ask if the Lord might lay it on your heart to help bring us together as a family in Armenia.
Your generous partnership would enable us to answer God’s call, allowing us to serve more fully and joyfully.
As we give to others, we trust in the Lord’s promise from Luke 6:38 (NIV):
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Thank you for prayerfully considering this need. We are so grateful for your love and support.
By your contribution, and God’s Grace we will be together in Armenia for the Armenian Christmas on Jan 7th
I bless you abundantly in the precious name of Jesus,
~ Rev. Joel Tenney & Family
