ALL TOGETHER FOR HARLEY

I'm John Harley Vargas, a 21-year-old Colombian living in Australia. I've been here for a year and a half, chasing my dreams and making the most of new opportunities. But life's thrown me a curveball – three months ago, I started feeling pain in my right testicle and lower back. After tests and doctor's appointments, I got the shock of my life on August 14, 2024: I've got testicular cancer with lymphomas in my back.

At first, it seemed like surgery would fix it, so I had my right testicle removed on August 19. But the journey's far from over – I need chemo and other treatments, which, as you can imagine, are pretty pricey here in Australia.

I'm facing a tough battle, and it's been a real challenge dealing with the medical bills on top of everything else. That's why I'm reaching out for your support to help cover these costs and focus on getting better without the added stress of finances. Hola a todos.

¿Les ha pasado que la vida les cambia los planes?

Soy colombiano y tengo 21 años. Llevo un año y medio viviendo en Australia, llegué aquí como muchos, buscando alcanzar mis sueños y abrirme a nuevas oportunidades. Pero, la vida a veces nos pone pruebas y desafortunadamente, hace tres meses comencé a sentir molestias en el testículo derecho y en la zona pélvica de mi espalda. Tras análisis y consultas médicas, el 14 de agosto de 2024 me dieron una noticia que no esperaba y la mas dura de mi vida: tengo cáncer de testículo con linfomas en la espalda.

Al parecer todo iba a estar mejor después de una cirugía; por eso el 19 de agosto me sometí a este procedimiento para extirpar el testículo derecho, pero la prueba continúa; los médicos me han indicado que necesitaré quimioterapia y otros tratamientos que como muchos de ustedes pueden imaginar, son muy, muy costosos aquí en Australia.

Estoy enfrentando una batalla difícil, nadie se espera esto en su vida y menos en la experiencia de migrar al otro lado del mundo. Sumado a la enfermedad, los gastos médicos son abrumadores. Por eso, hoy estoy pidiendo tu apoyo para ayudar a cubrir estos costos y poder concentrarme en mi recuperación sin tanta angustia y estrés que genera el tema financiero.

Cualquier ayuda, grande o pequeña, la recibiré con mucho amor y agradecimiento. TODO SUMA y sé que si nos unimos muchos, poco a poco podré avanzar.
