All She Wants for Xmas Are Her Six Front Teeth

Annalisa Jones-Suttles is a single, 46 year old woman and one of the kindest souls I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and in the entire time I have known her she has never been one to ask for help for anything (even when she truly needs it). Even before I started dating her son, Quinlan, Annalisa and I hit it off really well; She is a truly compassionate, supportive person and like me, she can be very talkative so it is no wonder that we always got along so well. I have always felt that we are kindred spirits and this holiday season I wanted to anything I could to help her with the ordeal she has been on since October 2021 and so luckily I was able to convince her to start a gofundme with the hopes that this long year of suffering will be over soon.
I am Brittany Farrell, a 23 year old college student in California and I have been dating Quinlan Jones, Annalisa’s only son, for around a year and a half. When Annalisa’s incident occurred, I was with Annalisa in the emergency room trying to figure out how her horrible fall could have happened. Annalisa has suffered with anemia and an autoimmune disorder for many years, but last October things took a turn for the worst when she experienced a period of dysautonomia, which caused her to lose consciousness and fall directly onto her face resulting in 6 broken teeth, a broken nose, and multiple face fractures. Luckily, after she came too she was able to contact a friend who then called 911.
It was a long road to recovery, but without the funds needed for dental work, Annalisa has been stuck for over a year. It is truly saddening to me to see someone so kind and full of life shut herself off from the world because of this incident. I’m sure one can imagine that losing all of their front teeth would massively impact their ability to feel comfortable in social situations. Annalisa has also suffered from clinical depression for many years so a traumatic incident like this has only worsened these symptoms and isolated her even further. Last year when her landlord passed away she uprooted her life in Cameron Park and moved to Southern California with a roommate, and even in front of this roommate she wears a mask 24/7 because she can’t feel comfortable being seen without her teeth.
Due to being laid off from her job at the beginning of COVID and her multiple health conditions, Annalisa has only been able to afford her basic needs and has had trouble coming up with money for dental work. Annalisa has gotten several quotes on the dental work needed (she is looking to get a dental bridge installed) and the lowest quote given was $5000, however we have also looked into getting dental work done down in Tijuana which may be a little riskier, but could be as low as $3500. We have looked into government assistance programs, but the only thing they would help with is a partial denture. Of course this would not be a permanent solution and it would require the removal of healthy teeth, and as a woman in her 40s, I wouldn’t want to see her deal with dentures that she potentially has to remove in front of people. I don’t think this would do wonders for gaining her self confidence back after a traumatic incident and a year of isolation. With the confidence that a new smile would provide, Annalisa can start living a life again. She will be able to meet people in Southern California, she would be able to start looking for a job in her field, and stop isolating from the people who care about her. All we’re asking for is a little kindness during this holiday season. Quinlan and I want to do everything we can for her, but as a couple in our early 20s we don’t have much in the way of financial support, so anything you can give will help.

below we have attached Annalisa’s xrays and photo of the teeth.

FYI - The bridge will be attached to tooth 1 & 6. Even though they are broken, there’s enough left of them to allow for a bridge.

1 - Broken side & on back
2 - Needs to be removed
