All in to Win with the Skidmore Wombats Spring 2025

We're the Wombats, a robust Ultimate Frisbee team from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Within our organization we have 2 teams: the Open team, which is a team open to anyone and everyone and competes in the Men's division, and the Waffles team, which is open to Women, Trans, and Non-binary folks, and plays in the Women's division. While we may play separately at tournaments, the Wombats are one team. We meet

and practice together, we hang out together, we study together; this is one big community.

This spring is an especially exciting time for the Wombats. Our team is bigger than ever, with over 50 players regularly attending practice, 3 times a week, across both teams. Most of these people are hungry to play as much frisbee as they can, including the desire to travel with us during weekends to play other schools in 2-day tournaments. We're unable to bring everyone, however. Between housing bookings, gas for our drivers, and the ever-increasing prices of the tournaments, costs are high for our team. The budget provided to us from the generosity of the Student Government Association is amazing, but it has become unsustainable for supporting the current size of the team, and promoting an affordable and equitable environment for everyone.
