Hey y'all! I want to take a second to introduce myself. My name is Adrian Riera. Alie and I have been best friends for close to 10 years. I wanted to create a fundraiser to help her and Weston with all of the upcoming medical expenses.

Alie and Weston have been married for 5 years and have 3 beautiful children, Stetson, Lawson and Dixzie. Alie is a 2nd grade teacher at Liberty Eylau Elementary in Texarkana, Tx.

At the end of November, Alie had a surgical procedure to remove a tumor behind her ear but due to the tumor being on her nerve, they were not able to fully remove it. They sent it off for a biopsy and we all prayed and prayed that it was not the dreaded "C".

Unfortunately, On December 5th, 2022, Alie was diagnosed with Acinic Cell Carcinoma (Cancer of the salivary gland). It has metastasized into her cervical lymph nodes and she will need reconstructive surgery with a specialist to remove the tumor. They will have to tear her nerve to get the tumor off. This can cause some paralyzation in her face however we have confidence in her surgeons that they will be able to successfully remove the tumor without causing any paralyzation. This surgery will have her out of work for 1 month while she recovers without any pay.

Before surgery can happen she will need a PET scan, MRI and another CT scan. The PET scan will confirm it has not spread to any other organs in her body. The MRI will confirm if it's following the nerve into the brain. After surgery, she will be doing radiation in Texarkana.

As you can imagine, there are a lot of costs between Surgery, the scans, traveling to Dallas, radiation and being out of work without pay. The surgery alone will cost $4,000. Any amount that you can donate will be so incredibly helpful for this sweet family. We have faith that she can beat cancer once again.
