All In Against Cancer
Donation protected
Someone’s trying to crack Peter’s Aces. He’s led a good life. Now he’s been thrown a curveball. A diagnosis of Myelodysplastic Syndrome. MDS. Bone marrow cancer. Peter has faced quite the journey to a cure. Thankfully there is a cure. To get there has taken some time. He was doing quite the invasive amount of chemotherapy. A bone marrow transplant has happened. A search for a bone marrow donor has proven successful. Virtually a perfect match! A stranger from Israel! And then a long road to recovery. During treatment, Peter was away from home over three months. Recovery 2-3 years! The stress on his wife, Tammie, has been overwhelming. Due to his compromised immune system, Peter couldn’t return to work. Now he’s lost his job as a poker dealer at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA. Along with that, his insurance costs have skyrocketed. The casino environment is not conducive to his health situation. Basically, Peter can’t be around people. His risk for illness/infection is through the roof. In the meantime, he’s hanging in there. Putting up the good fight. He’s started getting better. As Peter faces this process, his income is very limited. A small disability check every month. Unfortunately, this doesn’t come close to covering the bills. Mortgage. Taxes. Insurance. Utilities. Food. Car payments. And more. Not to mention the daunting amount of medical bills that are already piling up. The bone marrow transplant costs upwards of $1,000,000! That’s crazy. Peter never thought he would need anyone’s help. But at the urging of family, friends and a few poker players, we decided to start this campaign for him. Our goal is $50,000. Will that cover everything? No. But it will go a long way towards peace of mind during this journey. Thank you for at least taking the time to check into our GoFundMe site.
