All I want is safety for Sandy and Mila
Donation protected
I’m Ahmed Nabris, Maya’s brother. I launched this campaign to support her and her daughters after they lost everything in the war. I ask you to stand by them and give them a chance at life and safety.
Here is a message from my sister Maya:
My name is Maya, and I'm a mother of two beautiful daughters—Sandy (8 years old) and Mila (4 years old). We used to live a simple and warm life in our home in Khan Younis, Gaza. My husband had a stable source of income, and life felt secure.
But the war turned our world upside down.
We survived a brutal airstrike that targeted apartments in our building. Eighteen people were killed. We fled to a shelter school, hoping it would be temporary. We ended up staying there for four months—until the city was besieged and the school was bombed. We had to escape through what was called a “safe corridor.”
On February 29, 2024, my husband was arrested right in front of me. I fled alone with my two daughters to Rafah, and later to a tent in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, as the bombing continued.
My husband was released on March 24, 2024, but he returned deeply traumatized from torture. Our home was completely destroyed, and so was his workplace. We lost everything.
Today, we live in a tent—no safe shelter, no enough food, no clean water. My children have lost weight, their toys, clothes, and most painfully, their sense of safety. They have no future here amidst fear and hunger.
I’m pleading for your support and donation so we can travel to a safe place, start over, and give my daughters the chance at life they truly deserve
