My name is Joey and I am a trans man of color living in Los Angeles, CA.

My bday is on November 12th and I'm scheduled to have top surgery on the 20th of the same month. I'm extremely lucky to have gotten a surgery date so quickly, however, it did not give me enough time to prepare.

My out of pocket cost is $4730, which does not include any payments to the surgery facility. This would cause a significant financial burden, especially since I am currently working part-time. Payment is due on October 22nd. If I fail to raise the funds, I forfeit my surgery date and would have to reschedule.

I really don't know if I have it in me to wait until next year.

With that, my only birthday wish this year is to be able to afford this surgery and spend the rest of the year recovering.

All money will go towards the cost of surgery and recovery. Any unused funds will be donated to other trans mutual aid. Thank you so much for reading. ♡
