All I want for my birthday is my Emmy Statuette

**Any amounts over the goal will go toward my membership in NATAS, the governing body for the Emmys. I'm now eligible, since I won!!**

Being a female camera operator has always had its challenges. Throw in a global pandemic, a couple of industry strikes, and a complete restructuring of the television landscape, and the past few years have been, to say the least, challenging.

Industrywide work is down 30-50% and so far this year I’ve had only four days of camera work. And yet, a ray of sunshine amidst all this gloom: I won my first Emmy!

Did you know that we have to buy them? Yes, you win the award but have to pay for the statuette. And the price is going up on October 1st, just before my birthday.

So I’m asking everyone to participate in my success and help me get one of the most unique birthday presents ever. Please help me buy the statuette and a framed certificate for my nomination last year. The total comes to $816, including taxes, shipping, and handling.

I didn’t get to where I am alone. It’s taken a lot of help and support. This statuette isn’t mine alone - it’s for all the people who have helped me along the way. I’m looking forward to taking a picture of you holding it! It may be mine, but I want your fingerprints on it.
