All I want for my 40th is a Trip To The Dentist

It's the time of year where I'm often asked,

"What are you doing for your birthday?"

This year I'm 40 folks. Forty. The Big Four Oh... the mid life.

September 16th is the big day.

I'm not sure I believe it, to be honest.

Even at my age I’m still getting Birthday Cheques from my Grand-parents, bless them.

Today an Aunt asked if there's anything I'd like… the season has started.

So, for those of you I haven't seen, or can't see, or won't see, for a while, who want to say "Happy 40th" to me in some way - here's a spot to share your best wishes in the quietest and easiest way possible, in any amount that suits your budget. Publicly, or Privately.

Would've sent a card?

Save a stamp and paper, send me a $1.

Would've bought me something you weren't sure I was going to like anyway?

Send $ instead!

Would've taken me out for a meal or a coffee if we were in the same place?

Send me the cost of World's Best, or a Double Double & a Boston Cream...

Would've made me something homemade?

Can't help you there, guess you'll still have to do that. ;)

Re "The Goal" Amount and what I will do with it... $949 is only the “goal” because you have to input something, and that’s how many Facebook friends I have… it also seemed like it might be enough to get me in to see the dentist, if not into a canoe of my own. I will document whatever I get up to with your hard earned cash, never fear, and if it doesn't hit the goal, that's not the point. Hearing from you is.

Though I'll be honest, every little bit helps after a year of unemployment and an uncertain future!

However, I'm not a Charity, just a bit of a temporary charity-case, so if we exceed that goal, and go over $1000 because you're AMAZING, then I will find some local causes to support and let you know about them!
