Help!!!! I really, really need your help!!!!

I need your help Now more than ever, for my friend, Karen, and her family, (her two boys) they lost everything in the catastrophic wildfires in Maui three months ago. They lost everything, their home, clothes, food, furniture, family heirlooms, photographs, everything! My friend Karen is the sweetest, most hard-working, mild, mannered, upbeat, lovely person, always with a big smile, and a positive disposition. I’ve known Karen for almost 20 years.

A couple of weeks ago, when I saw Karen in Maui, my greeting was usual,

“Hi Karen, how are you?”… But Karen‘s reply was noticeably different, very sadly, it was quiet, and so serious as she replied simply, “I’m OK”. My heart immediately sunk, as I thought in my mind, oh no! I was completely blown over by Karen’s next comment to me, her reply plays over and over in my head! Karen said, “all I had left was my uniform and my shoes” … I was in shock!!!

It about killed me to know that, my friend, Karen, and her family lost everything!!! to the terrible, wicked, wildfires of Maui.

Karen‘s sons escaped the fire by running, going into the water, running from the fast moving, relentless flames seeking shelter in the ocean, near Lahaina, where they stayed for hours in the water, helping a family with a two year old child survive the horrific fire that was bearing down on them as they watched the fire burn their home and the entire town, whipping flames into hot blowing ash and embers.

I need your help…PLEASE!

I will say it again, I really, really need your help, now more than ever!!!!

Would you please help me by making a generous donation to Karen and her family? to help them afford what they need to live, to just simply survive?

During these holidays when we worry, if the turkey is going to be tasty, or will the Christmas tree be pretty, Karen and her family are trying to buy food and clothes, trying to survive until the next day or the next week.
