All Hope Run

On September 16th, 2020, my boyfriend, Daniel Valenzuela, and his running partner, Nico Garms, will be completing a 58 mile charity trail run: The All Hope Run. Their route will be from Nogales, AZ at the Mexican border, to Tucson, AZ, where they will then reconvene at the San Xavier Del Bac Mission.

September 16th is a significant date in Mexican culture, as it marks the date which Mexico gained its independence from Spain. They also picked this route carefully -- it's meant to honor those who have made the trek from Mexico to Arizona in hopes of a better life. Being that both Nico and Daniel are Mexican-Americans, they realize how much of a privilege it is, and that is what makes this run so important for them.

Both Nico and Daniel are very passionate not only about running, but also about helping their community. The All Hope Run will allow them to bring those two passions together. 

At this time we are accepting donations for the run, which in turn will be donated in full to various human rights organizations. None of the proceeds will be kept by Daniel or Nico.
