All Girls High School Competitive Robotics Team
Donation protected
We are an emerging Vex Robotics Competitions team, 2772J, or "Think Fast". Born out of the struggle of inclusivity and positively learning STEM concepts, it is an all-girls robotics team based on the foundation of practicing robotics in a safe, positive environment. VEX Robotics has always been a major platform for young robotics enthusiasts to grow their skills and compete. However, in our community, we face a major challenge of STEM inclusivity, and this team hopes to be one step forward in changing that. All of our members have participated in local VEX robotics teams for one season or more, yet we all ended up with the same experience. Though we have qualified to California State Championships, as well as World Championships, we have found that the atmosphere towards girls did not do justice to our accomplishments. Therefore, we would like to use our skills to grow other girls and ourselves in an inclusive surrounding.
Although our goals are ambitious, we believe that we can positively participate in VEX Robotics Competitions with your help. We are able to dedicate a lot of time for our team, but VEX Robotics supplies are quite expensive. To conquer this obstacle, we are seeking donations. We plan on using the funding to cover competition fees and to purchase parts for our robot such as motors, screws, and metal alongside tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches. The 2020-2021 VEX Robotics season has already started so we would like to start building as soon as possible! Please help us breakthrough our community restraints. Thank you so much for your time!
Budget Details : This is a breakdown of how we will spend the money. In addition to these costs, parents will be taking the team members to various competitions in NorCal and SoCal.
